Therapy Services
We provide therapy services that are evidence based and focused on helping you improve mental health and enjoy a more fulfilling life. During your first visit to Serenity Psychological Services and Consulting LLC you will be provided with a diagnostic interview to help determine your goals for therapy in a supportive and relaxing atmosphere. We will work to identify any psychological problems that are causing you distress, help coordinate care with your primary care physician to address any physical causes of mental distress, and help you to determine the strengths you possess to aid in your recovery.
Time Sensitive
After identifying your goals for therapy, we will work with you to set up a regular schedule for therapy appointments. You can expect therapy to last 8 to 20 session depending on your treatment goals. It is recommended that appointments start on a weekly basis to facilitate the therapeutic relationship and help you to see improvement more quickly. As progress is made, sessions may be reduced in frequency to every other week or monthly until your goals have been achieved.
Evidence Based
We utilize a mixture of evidence based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, brief psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, and existential-integrative therapy to help you achieve your mental health treatment goals. Your progress will be assessed at the beginning of each appointment to determine whether changes are needed to the treatment plan and to help determine when sustained progress has been made indicating that therapy can be discontinued. Our number one goal is to provide caring, compassionate, and confidential mental health treatment that represents a great value to you. We want you to make progress as quickly as possible to lead a fulfilling life.
